It's snowy like a snowy thing outside; but curiously I'm wearing about the same amount of clothing here as I tended to during winter in Wellington. Where there is no snow.

This really is a much more acceptable form of winter, even though the temperature is through the proverbial floor.

And I still haven't had wet feet this winter.

same sort of thing here in London - it's uncomfortable from the cold, but it's nowhere near as unpleasant. no wind, so little rain, but damn cold.

The dry feet thing, I think, makes the biggest difference to the relative suffering in winter.

Yeah.. I was contemplating what I might need to do to be comfortable back in NZ winter. Goretex trousers and jacket came to mind.

Hey, how are the new headphones working out? How do they compare to your previous 'phones?

In conclusion: wheeee snoooow yaaaay.

I ended up with HD SP-IIs... They're not that comfy to wear, which kinda sucks; but the sound is great. The old headphones totally kick their ass (Sennheiser HD595s... so there's no reason for the new ones to be better (: I guess the other old headphones are the standard Apple ones, and there's no reason for them to be worse <: ), but these don't need an adapter to go from 1/8" to 3.5mm; which makes it much harder to explode another iphone d:

Snow is far preferable to the sog of rain. Believe me.

I believe you, I believe you!

Wellington, it should be noted, mostly has rain that moves sideways; straight through you. Rain which falls straight down is quite the novelty.

rain that you could block with an umbrella? I've heard of this before but never really experienced it.

It's pretty crazy.

I still forget that an umbrella functions over here; so the one I bought doesn't get a lot of use.

Better aircon; but also very dry and not very windy.

(Although I hear the windiness kicks in real-soon-now.)
